Visit Day Scheduled for Nurses Seeking Bachelor’s Degree

William Penn University is hosting a visit day for nurses interested in learning more about the William Penn University R.N. to B.S.N. degree program on Friday, June 2, on the Oskaloosa campus.

During this event, nursing faculty will meet with potential students to talk about the program and answer any questions. Visitors will also be given a presentation about the admissions and financial-aid process. Lunch will be provided, as well as a tour of WPU’s campus. As a thank you for attending, participants will receive a free T-shirt.

The WPU Nursing Program’s new eight-week model allows a focused curriculum by meeting just one day per week. Students can begin immediately after graduation from a registered nurse program or practicing nurses can jump right in. Enrolled students may finish the program in a year and a half with no prerequisites. William Penn University’s hybrid program offers the modern nurse a vibrant learning environment with lively classroom discussion and nurse networking. Students may also complete their degree online with William Penn University staff close by for assistance. This unique program provides a comprehensive health assessment class. In second and third terms, students analyze concepts related to professionalism and caring for the individual, patient, and self in a new leadership experience. In the final term, students engage in assessing populations and organizations; then apply this new knowledge by utilizing research methods that may impact the quality of healthcare in the workplace. The prospective student will have early access to the University admissions team to learn about generous transfer credits and a competitive tuition. These efforts help potential students realize their dream and make a difference in their profession by shaping the future of healthcare.

The William Penn University R.N. to B.S.N. Program is approved by the Iowa Board of Nursing.
