Position Summary: The Career Services Coordinator will play a crucial role in assisting students and alumni with their career development and job search efforts. This position involves coordinating career services programs, providing individual career counseling, and building relationships with employers.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in career services, counseling, human resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, proficiency in Microsoft Office and career services software.

Reports To: Dean of Students

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Career Counseling: Provide one-on-one career counseling to students and alumni, helping them with career planning, resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
  • Program Coordination: Develop, organize, and promote career services programs, workshops, and events, such as career fairs, networking events, and employer information sessions.
  • Employer Relations: Build and maintain relationships with employers to create job and internship opportunities for students and alumni. Coordinate on-campus recruiting activities.
  • Resource Development: Create and update career resources, including guides, handouts, and online content, to support students and alumni in their career development.
  • Data Management: Track and report on career services activities and outcomes. Maintain accurate records of student and employer interactions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with faculty, staff, and other departments to integrate career services into the overall student experience.

Evaluation: Performance evaluations will adhere to the policies established by the Board of Trustees of William Penn University.
