JOB TITLE: Director for Athletic Performance

DEPARTMENT: Athletic Department

QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
Must have either a CSCS-NSCA or SCCC-CSCCa Certification.
B. Experience Minimum of three years experience preferred
C. Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide expertise, guidance and training in the area of Strength & Conditioning for all teams at WPU.
• Oversee all aspects of the daily operations, layout, supervision and safety of the Fitness Center.
• Schedule training sessions in cooperation with the head coach of each sport.
• Provide athletes with the guidance and proper training techniques for all strength training equipment.
• Provide expertise in the area of strength training, conditioning and flexibility in cooperation with the head coaches.
• Maintain the Ron Randleman Fitness Center and keep an updated inventory of equipment.
• Maintain data and records on the strength program for each team and individual workouts.
• Attend all Athletic Department meetings.
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
• Develop and implement a training schedule for each team.
• Attend Professional Development workshops to stay current with trends, research and education.
• Oversee the duties and responsibilities of your Graduate Assistants, empowering them to lead
• Follow all University policies and procedures.
• Support the structure that has graduate assistants working with high schools
• All other duties as assigned by the Administration.

EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the policies established by the Board of Trustees of William Penn University.
