Join us on January 23rd at 11:15 AM in the William Penn Gymnasium for the Dean’s Convocation, featuring guest speaker Peter Kagstrom, a technology specialist at GBH in Boston. Peter will share his unique perspective on the intersection of technology, artificial intelligence, and music—topics that blend his professional expertise and creative passions.
Peter Kagstrom is a technologist, musician, and multimedia artist with a wealth of experience in both the technical and artistic worlds. As a technology specialist at GBH, he provides solutions for data, large language models, and information systems across a range of productions, including the beloved Antiques Roadshow. Peter has played a pivotal role in growing literacy and inspiring change within the Massachusetts Production Coalition and the larger organization.
Beyond his work in tech, Peter is also a dedicated musician, performing regularly as a pianist and multi-instrumentalist with the New England Film Orchestra and at various concerts and events. He passionately believes that music and technology are intertwined, with both being expressions of mathematical beauty in different forms.
This convocation will offer a fascinating look at how these two fields converge and how the arts and technology are shaping the future. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear from one of Boston’s leading voices in both tech and music.
