Purpose of Job
This on-campus work study position provides essential first-line support to students, faculty, and staff.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
• Staff the IT Help Desk in Penn Hall
• Answer the IT Help Desk phone and assist walk-ins
• Provide level 1 support for IT-related inquiries
• Log service request into the IT Help Desk tracking system
• Assist IT Technicians with various IT Services, including:
o Installing and Maintaining computer, phone, and classroom audio video equipment
o Performing software installation and maintenance
• Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
• Current WPU Student
• Strong customer service skills: friendly, helpful, and courteous
• Basic understanding of PC systems, phones, classroom audio video equipment, and software
• Detail-oriented with the ability to follow directions
• Enthusiasm for learning and helping others
Work Schedule–Days & Times
Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Hourly Wage
$10.00
