The Marketing & Outreach Assistant is responsible for promoting the AI Impact Center’s mission, activities, and achievements to internal and external audiences. This role focuses on creating engaging content, building relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the Center’s visibility among students, faculty, businesses, and the broader community |

Description of Duties and Responsibilities: |
|
. Content Creation and Management:
Design promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, and digital graphics for
campaigns.
Write and manage posts for the AI Impact Center’s social media platforms (e.g.,
LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter).
Create newsletters or email campaigns to update stakeholders on Center activities
and accomplishments.
2. Event Promotion:
Promote events such as workshops, webinars, and presentations hosted by the AI
Impact Center.
Assist in organizing and publicizing networking events to connect students, faculty,
and business partners.
3. Stakeholder Engagement:
Develop strategies to engage businesses, students, and faculty in Center initiatives.
Act as a liaison for inquiries about the Center, providing clear information about
services and opportunities.
4. Website Management:
Update the AI Impact Center’s website with news, project highlights, and upcoming
events.
Ensure content is engaging, accurate, and reflective of the Center’s mission and
activities.
5. Community Outreach:
Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, nonprofits, and community
organizationsCollaborate with faculty and students to identify stories and projects worth
highlighting to external audiences.
6. Data Tracking and Reporting:
Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns (e.g., social media
analytics, event attendance).
Gather feedback from stakeholders to improve marketing and outreach strategies. |
Required Qualifications: |
|
Creative Skills: Ability to design visually appealing marketing materials using tools like
Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar platforms.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication for crafting compelling
content and engaging stakeholders.
Social Media Proficiency: Experience managing social media accounts and creating
content that drives engagement.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously,
meeting deadlines effectively.
Tech Savvy: Basic knowledge of website management (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace)
and analytics tools is a plus.
Team Collaboration: Willingness to work with faculty, students, and business partners to
support the Center’s mission |
