Oskaloosa Native and Entrepreneur Shares What Sparked His Passion for Improving the Organ Transplant Industry

Oskaloosa native and 2018 Forbes ‘30 Under 30’ recipient, Dalton Shaull, will present on Thursday, March 29, at 6:00 p.m. in the Musco Technology Center (MTC) on William Penn University’s Oskaloosa campus. Shaull’s presentation will be about his inspiration and journey to creating HeathTech Solutions and its first innovation, TXP Chat^TM.  The IT start-up company was founded in 2016 with the goal to create a more effective organ procurement process.  Its original product is an app that secures communication between organ transplant industries and clinicians.

About the Speaker

Dalton Shaull grew up in Oskaloosa and graduated from the Oskaloosa High School. From there, Shaull attended the University of Iowa and was a walk-on player for the football team. In 2016, Shaull graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology.  With the help of co-founder Eric Pahl, the duo launched HealthTech Solutions out of the Bedell Entrepreneurship Learning Laboratory at the University of Iowa.  Since then, Shaull has been named Interim CEO/President of the company and both founders were named to Forbes ‘30 Under 30’ list in 2018.

The Leaders Speak Series is an annual initiative that reaches out to the community with diverse leadership-based themes. The 2017–18 series has expanded on the theme “Ignite,” which aims at bringing in speakers to encourage students and community members to pursue their passions and promote positive change.
