William Penn University to Host Community Easter Egg Hunt

03/24/2017

The annual William Penn University Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by the student group P.A.S.S. (Programming Activities for Students by Students), will be held on Wednesday, April 12 at 4:00 p.m. on the front lawn of Penn Hall.  Children of the community are invited and should bring their own Easter basket or bag. This year, the Mahaska County YMCA has also joined in by donating prizes, such as free Y passes, inside some of the eggs.

“We enjoy having kids from the community come to campus every year for the Easter Egg Hunt,” said P.A.S.S. Advisor and PAC Director Levi Tarbell. “It’s always a lot of fun and this year will be no exception.”

Children will be divided into the following age groups: 2 and under, 3–5, 6–8, and 9–10.  Children age 5 and under will have the opportunity to find a golden egg containing a special prize.  Special guests will include the Easter Bunny and the William Penn University mascot, Willy P.

In the event of inclement weather, the hunt will be held on the Penn Activity Center (PAC) turf.  For more information, contact PAC Director Levi Tarbell at 641-673-1024 or at tarbelll@wmpenn.edu.
