William Penn University Partners with Drake University School of Law for 3+3 Program Pathway

William Penn University has partnered with Drake University School of Law for a 3+3 program pathway. This new partnership allows students to earn their undergraduate degree and a law degree in six years, rather than the usual seven.

“The 3+3 Program with Drake University School of Law provides Penn students a fantastic opportunity to fast-track their undergraduate studies while on their way to a legal career,” said Dr. Noel Stahle, William Penn University’s Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Through this program, students will complete the first three years of full-time undergraduate study at WPU. They may then apply to Law School in the fall of their third year, following admission procedures of Drake University. After transferring to Drake, students will finish their undergraduate degree and receive their bachelor’s degree after the first year of law school.

Students at William Penn who participate in this 3+3 pathway who are accepted and matriculate to the Law School will be guaranteed a $5,000 scholarship for each of their three years at Drake University.

“The opportunity to complete both an undergraduate and law school education in just six years not only saves tuition, it also allows students to get into their chosen career much faster,” said Jerry L. Anderson—Drake University Dean of Law School, Calkins Distinguished Professor of Law. “We have found that William Penn students are prepared to succeed at Drake Law – after that, they can succeed anywhere in the country, or indeed the world.”
