Anita Meinert, M.M.E.
Assistant Teaching Professor of Vocal and Keyboard Music
Professor Anita Meinert began teaching full time at William Penn in 1998 with a specialty in keyboard music. She believes that hands-on learning is the most rewarding way for students to learn. One of Professor Meinert’s greatest joys of teaching at William Penn University is the opportunity to watch students grow as individuals. “In the working world, you can see their worth as employees, but to see students thrive and gain confidence through leadership opportunities is a rewarding experience,” she said. “It is exciting to follow the progress of students from freshmen to seniors and see them realize their talents and gifts.” Outside of teaching, Professor Meinert also fills the role of organist at local churches and accompanist for the Oskaloosa Community School District.
