Janet L. Ewart, Ph.D.

Professor of Biology

Dr. Janet L. Ewart has been a Health and Life Sciences Division faculty member since 1996. She has enjoyed seeing relationships form amongst students who work closely together during labs. These lab sessions always lead to wonderful conversations and give interesting perspectives from a diverse group of students. Dr. Ewart keeps her students focused by assisting with their senior research projects and accompanying them to events, such as the Pre-Medical Conference at the University Iowa Medical School. She has been focusing on improving her students’ ability for incorporating materials from scientific journals, and has placed a lot importance on refining their skills. Professor Ewart tries to give her students as much practical experience as possible throughout her lessons, so they can be as prepared as possible after they leave William Penn.
