Director of Nursing
Dr. Kimberly Brown is the Director of Nursing and part-time faculty member at William Penn University. Dr. Brown graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College with a BSN in 1978 and continued her nursing education at Frontier Nursing University with a MSN in 2011 and DNP in 2014. Under the leadership of Dr. Brown, the university has expanded its program from the RN-BSN Program to include a 4-year Pre-Licensure BSN Program and also a CNA program, with the goal of having a Masters of Science in Nursing degree in the near future. Dr. Brown brings years of experience, dedication, and nursing skills to our programs. Our students have the privilege to learn about the various aspects of nursing from a director and faculty that still work in the field outside of the classroom. Her objective is to provide a high-quality health care education with an emphasis on prevention, disease management, and community based opportunities. Dr. Brown has always been a community supporter by volunteering for various programs from her ministry work, hospital boards, Free Clinic work, and 4H. She also supported her four daughters throughout their lives in groups like Music Boosters, PRO, and sports. Dr. Brown and husband, Charles, live on a farm in rural Iowa and have four grown daughters and several grandchildren.
