Your safety and the security of all on-campus property and programs is the focus of William Penn University’s Campus Safety department. The Campus Safety staff works with students, faculty members, and staff to prevent safety issues and provide a safe campus environment in which to live, learn, and work.
William Penn University—in compliance with the requirements under Title IV Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act Title IX, Violence Against Women Act, and Fire Safety—publishes an Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. This report outlines policies and procedures pertaining to campus and fire safety. It includes crime statistics for the most recent three years.
A printed copy of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is available upon request. Call 1-800-779-7366, ext. 1083 or stop by the Campus Safety office located in Dana M. Atkins Memorial Union on the Oskaloosa campus to request a printed copy. A copy of the report can be downloaded here.
William Penn University also publishes a Student Handbook and a Employee Handbook that contain the policies of the university relative to campus security. These documents contain the procedures for reporting emergencies and crimes along with the resources to contact.
Each year, the university provides programming and activities designed to make people aware of safety risks and issues. Safety and security programs offered may include, but are not limited to, self-defense, home security, sexual assault, domestic violence and substance abuse.
