Delaney Morrow ’25
Hometown: Moore, Oklahoma
Major: Business Management

Meet Delaney Morrow, a senior business management major and kinesiology minor from Moore, Oklahoma, set to graduate in December 2024. Beyond academics, Delaney has been a part of William Penn’s women’s volleyball team for four years and currently serves as the President of the Campus Activities Board (CAB), which organizes vibrant campus events like Pennstock. In her free time, she enjoys reading, working out, and spending time with friends.

Delaney chose William Penn University for its opportunities in both athletics and academics. Wanting to continue her volleyball career while exploring her interests in kinesiology and business, she was captivated by the beautiful campus during her visit and knew it was the right fit. Her academic journey has been both challenging and rewarding, particularly in classes with Professor Choua Sayaxang, whose teaching and mentorship led her to an impactful internship at Musco Sports Lighting. Delaney is especially grateful for the support services on campus, including the library, which has become her go-to study spot, and Campus Safety, who went above and beyond when her car needed a jump-start.

Campus life has been an incredible experience for Delaney, fostering a strong sense of community through activities organized by students and professors alike. She highlights the close-knit support, as seen at events like the recent Graveyard Game, where students from various teams came together to cheer on the volleyball team. Her involvement with CAB has allowed her to create inclusive events like dodgeball tournaments, helping to bring students together.

Reflecting on her growth, Delaney notes that William Penn has shaped her both personally and professionally. Originally a kinesiology major, she discovered a passion for business, prompting a major change that she believes prepared her well for her future career. Her internship at Musco Sports Lighting offered real-world experience in a professional setting, enriching her understanding of the business world.

For Delaney, William Penn’s commitment to diversity has been significant. She’s had the opportunity to connect with students from all backgrounds and feels that CAB’s campus events play a vital role in fostering inclusivity and unity.

Her advice to future students is simple: don’t be afraid to make changes, like switching majors if it leads you to a better path. Looking ahead, Delaney plans to dive into the workforce post-graduation, with aspirations of pursuing her MBA within a few years. Though excited for what lies ahead, she will miss the tight-knit community and the friendships she’s made at William Penn.

In Delaney’s own words, “Going to school at William Penn was a whirlwind of academic growth, embracing adversity, and making memories with friends who became family.”
