The desire to attend law school led Nesreen Iskandrani from Lawrence, Kansas to Oskaloosa, Iowa. Nes is pursuing her degree in Political Science with minors in Business Management and History at William Penn University. She excels as a student, making the President’s list twice and anticipating an early graduation.
Nes is beginning her junior year at Penn. She enjoys the small class sizes and all of the welcoming professors. Well on her way to law school, Nes has had the opportunity to hold two separate internships. Most recently, she interned at Clow Valve in Oskaloosa in the spring of 2018 as a safety technician. She was tasked with helping to maintain OSHA regulations in the plant.
Previous to her internship at Clow, Nes spent the summer of 2017 at Kansas University-Law School interning for Dean Michael Hoelfich. Nes was able to sit in on summer introductory law classes, worked with a KU Law student on a book regarding Native American Tribe cases in Kansas, learned how to utilize Lexis Nexis, and traveled to Topeka to meet with judges while gathering information for the book.
